Volleyball Recap: Kara Mark Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Richards

Romeoville won the last time they faced Richards and things went their way on Saturday too. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Romeoville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kara Mark led the charge by getting 16 assists. Mark is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Romeoville's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Richards, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Romeoville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Shepard on the 20th. As for Richards, they will square off against Thornton Fractional North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
