Fairmont had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They secured a 53-48 W over the Springboro Panthers. That looming 53-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Firebirds yet this season.

Fairmont now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Springboro, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Fairmont and Centerville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Fairmont likes a good challenge. As for Springboro, they are taking a road trip to face off against Miamisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
