Basketball Game Preview: Plumas Charter Warriors vs. Herlong Vikings

Plumas Charter is 4-0 against Herlong since December of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Plumas Charter Warriors will face off against the Herlong Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Plumas Charter will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Plumas Charter strolled past Westwood with points to spare, taking the game 52-35.

Plumas Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dalton Bentz, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bentz has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Joseph, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 22 points.

Meanwhile, Herlong played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Paradise Adventist Academy, falling 64-36. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Plumas Charter's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. As for Herlong, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Plumas Charter against Herlong in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured an 81-39 win. In that game, Plumas Charter amassed a halftime lead of 42-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
