Basketball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

Howard has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glenelg Gladiators. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Howard's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Ademiju, who posted seven points and eight boards. Ademiju is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Alex Reeb was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Glenelg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Howard has already played their next game, a 71-50 defeat against Mt. Hebron on the 31st. Glenelg has also already played their next match (against Hammond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
