Volleyball Game Preview: Mar Vista Mariners vs. Montgomery Aztecs

The Mar Vista Mariners will head out on the road to square off against the Montgomery Aztecs at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Mar Vista came up short against San Ysidro and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Montgomery came up short against Olympian on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Montgomery was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

Mar Vista's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.

Mar Vista was able to grind out a solid win over Montgomery when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mariners since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
