Basketball Recap: Fredonia Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Fredonia Lynx came up short against the Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats and fell 49-41. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Fredonia lost, don't look at Nevaeh Benson. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 10 on her way to 16 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Benson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveya Estrada, who went 5 of 12 en route to 8 points and four steals.

Fredonia's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Dishchii'bikoh, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Fredonia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-32 victory against Escalante on the 21st. Dishchii'bikoh has also already played their next game, a 51-47 defeat against Red Mesa on the 21st.
