West Monroe is 9-1 against Pineville since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. West Monroe will be playing in front of their home fans against Pineville at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Pineville will be up against a hot West Monroe squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. West Monroe didn't even let Ouachita Parish on the board on Saturday, marking West Monroe's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Garrett Frye looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

On the hitting side, Sheppard Brown was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Starr, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

West Monroe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pineville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Alexandria with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday.

West Monroe pushed their record up to 13-5-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pineville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

West Monroe was able to grind out a solid victory over Pineville when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 8-4. Does West Monroe have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pineville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
