Basketball Recap: Aurora Skates Past O'neill with Ease

Aurora waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the O'Neill Eagles 64-28. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

O'Neill lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trevor Alder, who posted 12 points. Westen Kohl was another key player, putting up six points.

Aurora pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for O'Neill, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aurora will host Kearney Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for O'Neill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wagner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
