Baseball Recap: Londonderry Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Londonderry waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Windham Jaguars. That's more bragging rights for the Lancers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jaylen Stott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caden Jordan was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zach Mantegari, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Londonderry pushed their record up to 19-3-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Windham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Londonderry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Windham, they will square off against Pinkerton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
