Volleyball Preview: Redwood Rangers vs. El Diamante Miners
Redwood has gone 9-1 against El Diamante recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Redwood Rangers will welcome the El Diamante Miners at 6:30 p.m. Redwood will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive.
Last Wednesday, Redwood made easy work of Golden West and carried off a 3-0 victory.
The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14, 25-18.
Redwood can attribute much of their success to Journey Vela, who had ten digs, and Angelina Miranda, who had 11 digs. Miranda is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last 11 games she's played.
Meanwhile, El Diamante got the win against Mt. Whitney on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Miners have posted against the Pioneers since October 12, 2022.
While El Diamante won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.
Redwood is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. As for El Diamante, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.
