The Dixie Flyers will take on the Pine View Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Dixie took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Cedar as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Flyers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Jake Andreas spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Dixie's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan McArthur, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Turley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
McArthur wasn't the only one making solid contact: Dixie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Flyers are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Pine View lost 8-1 to Snow Canyon on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Pine View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Heath, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Dixie's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Pine View, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1.
Everything went Dixie's way against Pine View in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Dixie made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Flyers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
