Volleyball Recap: Northern Valley Takes a Loss

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Northern Valley had to take the L. They fell just short of the Golden Plains Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Huskies have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Northern Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 28-26, 25-19.

Kathryn Speer paced Northern Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Speer got some help from Iris Schemper and her ten assists. Schemper was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Northern Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Golden Plains, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-11.

Northern Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Triplains/Brewster on the 7th. As for Golden Plains, they will face off against Weskan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
