Hardin extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came out on top against the Orangefield Bobcats by a score of 38-29. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 59-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

As for Orangefield, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. They gained 73 more yards on the day, but it was Hardin that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Orangefield had strong showings from Carson Gonzales, who threw for 148 yards and two TDs on only ten passes, and Mason Manning, who gained 156 total yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hardin is set to square off against their familiar foe East Chambers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Orangefield will take on rival Anahuac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
