Basketball Game Preview: Cook Hornets vs. Pierce County Bears

The Cook Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Pierce County Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cook came up short against Appling County on Thursday, falling 75-49.

Meanwhile, Pierce County had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 28-19 win over Crisp County on Saturday.

Cook has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Pierce County, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-16.

Cook didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pierce County in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 36-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cook since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
