Baseball Recap: St. Dominic Gets the Win

St. Dominic proved they can win big last Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Mount Abram Roadrunners 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Roadrunners: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Curtis Wheeler, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Jacobi Apodaca also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-6. As for Mount Abram, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Dominic will face off against Buckfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Abram, they will challenge Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
