Perry is 8-2 against Lansing Christian since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Ramblers will be playing at home against the Pilgrims at 4:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Perry has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Lansing Christian will arrive with four straight wins.

Fowler hit Perry with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ramblers lost 12-1 to the Eagles.

Johnny McConnell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Lansing Christian hadn't done well against Laingsburg recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Pilgrims never let the Wolfpack get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. While the Pilgrims didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The result came thanks to Ethan Damesworth's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lansing Christian's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Collin Leavitt, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Lansing Christian pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Perry came out on top in a nail-biter against Lansing Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Ramblers repeat their success, or do the Pilgrims have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
