Softball Recap: Ingram Moore Takes a Loss

If Ingram Moore was feeling good fresh off their 19-9 takedown of Leakey last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ingram Moore Warriors came up short against the Blanco Panthers on Friday, falling 14-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since February 14th.

Jaycee Crawley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna McClintock, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The loss snapped Ingram Moore's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-10 record. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 14.33 hits in those games compared to only 5.31 in the others. As for Blanco, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

While Ingram Moore had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
