Basketball Game Preview: George Jenkins Eagles vs. East Ridge Knights

The George Jenkins Eagles will face off against the East Ridge Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, George Jenkins came up short against Auburndale and fell 65-56. The Eagles have struggled against the Bloodhounds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 82-59 to South Lake. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Eagles are ranked 188th).

George Jenkins will need focus on slowing down Jordan Corman, one of several East Ridge players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Corman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Olson, who posted eight points along with six boards and three steals.

George Jenkins now has a losing record at 8-9. As for East Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
