Basketball Recap: Waverly Central Takes a Loss

Waverly Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-44 loss at the hands of the Henry County Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Patriots are ranked 129th).

Waverly Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Henry County, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Waverly Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-53 loss against East Hickman County on the 13th. As for Henry County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-48 victory against Westview on the 14th.
