Baseball Recap: Marquette Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Lindbergh typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Marquette proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Flyers. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Flyers, too.

Marquette pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lindbergh, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-4-1.

Marquette will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Flyers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
