Baseball Recap: East Central Has No Trouble Against Franklin County

East Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Franklin County on Thursday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Not much got past Ryan Ott, who gave up just two hits to keep Franklin County off the board.

At the plate, Cole Reynolds was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Long, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The victory got East Central back to even at 2-2. As for Franklin County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

East Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-7 win against Jennings County on the 11th. As for Franklin County, they have also already played their next match, a 13-6 defeat against Connersville on the 14th.
