Basketball Recap: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Esparto Spartans
Buckingham Charter took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 66-41 margin over the Esparto Spartans. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 48-44 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Esparto saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Larry Williams posted 20 points in addition to two steals. Cohen Sihapanyay was another key player, posting six points.
Buckingham Charter will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rio Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
