Basketball Game Preview: Forge Christian Fury vs. Montrose Red Hawks + How To Watch

The Forge Christian Fury and the Montrose Red Hawks will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Forge Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Forge Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. They claimed a resounding 80-52 victory over Glenwood Springs. The Fury have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Montrose suffered their biggest defeat since February 21st on Friday. They had to suffer through a 63-33 loss at the hands of Peak to Peak. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Red Hawks' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Despite the loss, Montrose saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cache Oberg shot 56% from the field on his way to 10 points. Those 56% shooting accuracy set a new season-high mark for Oberg. Kayleb Rogers also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Montrose's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Forge Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Forge Christian and Montrose were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but Forge Christian came up empty-handed after a 50-49 loss. Thankfully for the Fury, Kaleb Ferguson (who went 8-for-11 en route to 21 points and six boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
