Softball Game Preview: Cordova Blue Devils vs. Danville Hawks

The Cordova Blue Devils will take on the Danville Hawks at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Cordova will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Cordova is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Dora get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 21 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Danville hadn't done well against West Morgan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hawks came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 6-2. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won three in a row.

Cordova's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-14. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Danville, the win got them back to even at 21-21.
