Basketball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Pine Ridge

Pine Ridge had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Marvin Richard lll did his part to make it ten on Saturday. The Pine Ridge Thorpes blew past the Lakota Tech Tatanka 97-56 thanks in part to Richard lll, who went 23 of 36 en route to 62 points and three steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pine Ridge's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Black Feather, who made all 8 shots he took racking up 20 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 51.5% field goal percentage.

Pine Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lakota Tech, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

When Pine Ridge and Lakota Tech next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Pine Ridge will take on Lennox and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.9 points per game this season. Similarly, Lakota Tech will try to stop Hill City's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on February 15th.
