Rio Linda is a perfect 10-0 against Woodland since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will face off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Neither Rio Linda nor Woodland posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rio Linda's offense. They lost 9-0 to Destiny Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Dixon, falling 19-2.

Emma Rubio was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Sofia Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Rio Linda, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Everything went Rio Linda's way against Woodland in their previous meeting back in March, as Rio Linda made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
