Softball Recap: Martin Takes a Loss

Martin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 back in February.

Martin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jovahana Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Martin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against Mission on the 28th. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against Rio Grande City on the 28th.
