Lowndes hadn't done well against Coffee recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Vikings walked away with a 70-60 victory over the Trojans. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 61-43 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Lowndes can attribute much of their success to Ar'Tavian Brown, who went 5-for-11 en route to 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Kaden Martin was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Despite the loss, Coffee still got an impressive performance from Xavien Littleton, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Littleton's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Bazell, who posted nine points.

Lowndes moved to 4-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Coffee, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1.

Lowndes has already played their next matchup, a 63-58 loss against Westover on the 9th. As for Coffee, they will challenge Tift County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
