Football Game Preview: Fullerton Warriors vs. Nebraska Christian Eagles

The Fullerton Warriors will head out to challenge the Nebraska Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fullerton is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Howells-Dodge on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors came up short against the Jaguars, falling 44-20. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Fullerton had strong showings from Isaac Supik, who gained 68 total yards and two touchdowns, and Cael Dubas, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Nebraska Christian took a blow against Archangels Catholic on Friday, falling 56-8. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Defenders are ranked 25th).

Fullerton will have to contain Titus Birnie as he made an impact in Nebraska Christian's last game. He rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

Nebraska Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fullerton, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2.

Fullerton was able to grind out a solid victory over Nebraska Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 36-27. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Eagles' Oliver Herman, who threw for 193 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one rushing score. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Warriors to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
