The Shadow Ridge Mustangs will square off against the Mission Viejo Diablos at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. Shadow Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Shadow Ridge's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Douglas with a sharp 15-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Loa Duarte tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rosely Hensley-Mokiao, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Thurston, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Shadow Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Mission Viejo sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Douglas on Friday.

Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Mission Viejo, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
