Game recap: South-Doyle pulls off late win against Morristown-Hamblen West

After three lead changes, South-Doyle (Knoxville, Tenn.) took the lead for good when Jake Carideo ran for a touchdown with 5:00 left in the fourth quarter and held on to upset Morristown-Hamblen West (Morristown, Tenn.) 20-14 on Saturday.

After trailing 7-0 at the half, the Trojans went ahead on a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the third.

Morristown-Hamblen West's Drew Epps was the standout player for his team. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown.

South-Doyle's most effective player was Carideo. He ran for three touchdowns.

SD got revenge for last year's 19-7 loss to MHW with the victory.



With the win the Knoxville school extended its winning streak to four games.

Morristown-Hamblen West (3-2) goes up against Morristown-Hamblen East in a AAA District 2 game matchup next week, while South-Doyle (4-0) locks horns with Carter in a non-conference game.
