Basketball Recap: Saline Takes a Loss

Saline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-44 defeat to the Weston Wolves. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 68-56.

Saline's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Weston, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saline will host Zwolle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weston, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jonesboro-Hodge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Jonesboro-Hodge likes a good challenge.
