Basketball Preview: Triton Trojans vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings        
        
		
             Triton hasn't had much luck against Tippecanoe Valley recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Triton Trojans and the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings are set to duel. Hopefully Triton focused on turnovers this week  as the team gave up 33 on Saturday.
 Triton is headed into Wednesday's   match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game  dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell  51-41 to North Miami. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Savannah Hawley, who  had seven points in addition to nine  rebounds and two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sydney King, who  posted 11 points in addition to five  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Triton  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.
 Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  on Saturday as they fell  48-42 to Bremen. The Vikings have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Triton ended up a good deal behind  Tippecanoe Valley in their previous matchup  back in December of 2023, losing  49-32. Can Triton avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
