Volleyball Recap: Tates Creek Falls Short Against Ranked Western Hills

Tates Creek faced Western Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Commodores came up short against the Wolverines, falling 3-0. The Commodores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Tates Creek was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-23.

Leading Western Hills to victory were Shiv Patel and Ben Bayes. Patel had 23 assists and two aces, while Bayes had ten digs and one assist. That's the most aces Patel has posted over his last six matchups.

This is the second loss in a row for Tates Creek and nudges their season record down to 7-7-1. As for Western Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
