Basketball Recap: George West Longhorns vs. Aransas Pass Panthers
George West lost against Aransas Pass back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The George West Longhorns were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Aransas Pass Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1179th, while the Panthers are ranked 566th).

Loss or not, George West got some senior leadership from Teagan Collins and Tristen Blevins. Collins posted 11 points and four steals, while Blevins almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Blevins' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.
