Volleyball Recap: Algonac Comes Up Short

Algonac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Allen Park Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Algonac's defeat dropped their record down to 11-23-1. As for Allen Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-4 record this season.

Algonac will face off against Almont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allen Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Lakeview on the 18th.
