Lake Fenton dropped their record down to 27-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Linden Eagles by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lake Fenton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Heil (2027), who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Linden, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.7 runs.

On Linden's side, Kayla Widner (2025) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. Widner (2025) has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
