Baseball Recap: Delhi's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Delhi had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Stone Ridge Christian Knights 11-2. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Isac Vargas was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Samuel Soto was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-6.

Delhi was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Delhi now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Delhi beat the Knights by a score of 6-1 on Thursday.
