Football Recap: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Sweetwater Red Devils        
        
		
             It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mira Mesa had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They were the clear victor by  a  41-21 margin over the Sweetwater Red Devils. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Marauders as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Despite the loss, Sweetwater still got an impressive performance from   Zaryan Crews, who rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 221 yards and a touchdown. Crews is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in the last three games he's  played. A healthy portion of  Crews' aerial production (112 yards to be exact)  went to  Sean Carlos.
 Mira Mesa's win  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 1-10. As for Sweetwater, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record  this season.
 As of now, neither Mira Mesa nor Sweetwater have any future games scheduled.
