The School of the Arts Silverhawks will square off against the Edison Tech Inventors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. School of the Arts' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Edison Tech's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
School of the Arts took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Franklin. The result was nothing new for the Silverhawks, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Jack Wingert was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Paul Alex Stevens II was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. School of the Arts is undefeated when Stevens II posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Bruce Newton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Edison Tech beat Early College 5-2 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Inventors have won by exactly three runs.
School of the Arts is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Edison Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-13.
Everything went School of the Arts' way against Edison Tech in their previous matchup back in April, as School of the Arts made off with a 13-3 victory. Do the Silverhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Inventors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
