Volleyball Recap: Grainger Comes Up Short

Grainger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the West Greene Buffaloes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Grainger was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into West Greene's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-21.

Grainger now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Greene, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Grainger will head out to face off against Cosby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for West Greene, they will host Cherokee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
