Preview: Thornton Trojans vs. Stargate School Eagles
The Thornton Trojans are on the road again on Friday and play against the Stargate School Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Thornton was able to grind out a solid victory over Skyview, taking the game 46-33.
Meanwhile, Stargate School humbled Bruce Randolph with a 73-24 victory. With Stargate School ahead 38-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Hunter Roark was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Perkins, who scored 16 points.
The losses dropped Thornton to 2-2 and Skyview to 0-3.
Thornton came up short against Stargate School in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, falling 50-42. Can Thornton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
