Brockport dropped their record down to 3-3 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Mendon Vikings, falling 11-3. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

As for Mendon, they now have a winning record of 5-4. Considering they have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Mendon's part, Eli Charatz looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cam Barbulean, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Mendon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Samuel Harrigan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Brockport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Sutherland on the 25th. Mendon has also already played their next game (against Eastridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
