Basketball Recap: Cardinal O'hara Wins Going Away Against New Life Christian

Cardinal O'Hara's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They took down New Life Christian 67-50.

Cardinal O'Hara had a senior duo take command as Gavin Johnson went 8-for-18 on his way to 22 points and four steals and Mickel Ivey dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Ivey's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Doe-Bruce, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Cardinal O'Hara picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-15. As for New Life Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Cardinal O'Hara wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 87-46 defeat against Bishop Timon-St. Jude on the 11th. New Life Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
