Basketball Recap: Clover Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Clover had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Rock Hill Bearcats by a score of 77-67. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-48 back in December of 2024.

Clover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from George Stewart, who went 6 for 11 en route to 19 points. That's the most points Stewart has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Devin Agard, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points and seven assists.

Clover smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rock Hill only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Rock Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyriq Dickens, who went 5 for 12 en route to 17 points, and Nigel Lightner, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points. Myles Brooks was another key player, putting up eight points.

Clover is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 25.7% in those games and 34.7% outside of them. As for Rock Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Clover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-49 loss against Fort Mill on the 28th. As for Rock Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-53 defeat against Carolina International on the 25th.
