Baseball Recap: Pangburn Takes a Loss

Pangburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in March of 2019.

Pangburn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Palestine-Wheatley, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pangburn will face off against Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.82 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palestine-Wheatley, they will square off against England at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
