Softball Game Preview: Hillside Hornets vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs

The Hillside Hornets will face off against the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Hillside and ten for Southeast Raleigh.

Hillside lost 19-2 to Northern Durham on Tuesday.

Maliya Blandford made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh came up short against Fuquay - Varina on Monday, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Hillside now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Southeast Raleigh, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything went Hillside's way against Southeast Raleigh in their previous matchup last Monday, as Hillside made off with a 19-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
