 South Dearborn scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-2 margin over the Rising Sun Shiners. The high-scoring effort was just what South Dearborn needed considering they were shutout in their previous   contest.
  Mason Hamlett made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched. Hamlett has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Hamlett was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Tyeler Gulden, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.  Ryker Morris was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 On Rising Sun's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Luke Kaiser, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 South Dearborn's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-13. As for Rising Sun, they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-14.
 South Dearborn will play host again  on Friday to welcome Connersville, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:00  p.m. Connersville is coming into the  matchup with four straight  defeats on the road,  meaning South Dearborn will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win. As for Rising Sun, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shawe Memorial at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Shawe Memorial will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
