Peninsula's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the River Ridge Hawks 48-20. The victory continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Jacob Martin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 218 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those 218 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Thomas Marzano, who gained 136 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Peninsula was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 337 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 85 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 189.7.

River Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kain Aguon, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one score.

Peninsula now has a winning record of 4-3. As for River Ridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
