Softball Game Preview: Elmwood Park Tigers vs. Fenton Bison

The Elmwood Park Tigers will head out to challenge the Fenton Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

It was a proper cat-fight when Elmwood Park duked it out with West Chicago on Monday. The Tigers took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Fenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Glenbard East, falling 21-0.

Fenton's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Elmwood Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Elmwood Park took their victory against Fenton in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
